Our family roots can be traced back (Family Tree) to the 16th century in the Fils valley and from 1774 in Ebersbach a.d. Fils, a little town in the county of Göppingen, 18 mls. east of Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Württemberg, the Heart of the South! Elisabeth is born in Tux, in Tyrol. Our favorite places are Vermont, New York City and Bermuda.

Ingrid, our oldest daughter moved in december 2006 with her family from New Paltz in New York State to South Burlington in Vermont. Ingrid works as a registered nurse at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington. That's the medical centre where in 1979 our youngest daughter Andrea was born. Hubby Arnd is Director of Food & Beverage at The Essex, Vermont's Culinary Resort & Spa in Essex. Max  and Ben go to the South Burlington Highschool (SBHS), Max as a Senior and Ben as a Freshman. Max plays varsity football and tennis for SBHS and Ben soccer at the Queencity Football Club and lacrosse for SBHS.

Since September 2003 our daughter Bärbel and her hubby Marcus live in Ebersbach a.d. Fils. They bought and rebuilt my birthplace the way they like it. It was a lot of work for both.

Bärbel is teacher at a German Highschool (Gymnasium) and Marcus works as a development engineer at the Robert Bosch GmbH Thermotechnology Division in nearby Wernau. They have two children: Lilly and Niklas. Liz and me have lot of joy babysitting the kids. Nik started first grade this fall in the Hardtschule Ebersbach and Lilly is in third grade in the same elementary school. Nik plays soccer with the Bambinis in the SV Ebersbach.

Andrea and Heiko

Andrea completed College in Stuttgart summer 2006 with an engineer degree in "advertising and market communication". She works in Global Marketing at Bürkert Fluid Control Systems in Ingelfingen / Hohenlohe, about 40 mls northeast of Stuttgart. She presently lives in the center of Öhringen.
